Oh! Volunteering Programme
Our volunteer programme offers all kind of oportunities, both on administrative or on the creative end, Oxford House can help you gain experience and apply it to future positions.
Oh! has a variety of volunteers and interns from all over! Take a look at Emily. She is currently studying English at Queen Mary University. She has great initiative and hopes to apply her abilities in the near future, “I feel I now have knowledge of the inner workings of the gallery, and will be more confident in my own ability to organise and work with professionals.” Emily recommends future volunteers to “make the most of every day, and do something you wouldn’t normally do. Volunteering is a great opportunity to learn and develop yourself outside of your ordinary comfort zone.”
Eden also attends Queen Mary University, she volunteers for the theatre at Oxford House. The theatre is complete with sound and seating accommodations. Eden helps organise and arrange the theatre space alongside the Oxford House executive officers.
Ricardo is an intern all the way from Colorado, USA. He is a student from Metropolitan State University of Denver. First time in the United Kingdom; he completed his internship in marketing with Oh! and walked away with real world experience and ‘something cool to have on his CV.’ “When I first came to Oxford House, the people were very friendly and welcoming. I didn’t know what to expect! It was my third day in a different country; Oh! made me feel at home. I learned a lot about the UK through Oh! More importantly, I learned an immense amount of marketing applications through my placement. I definitely feel good about my time here and would recommend it to everyone.”
