What's On > Messages of Welcome Exhibition

Refugee Week 2016 (20th- 26th June) is all about celebrating the welcome shown to refugees and asylum seekers in the UK. The festival seeks to encourage and inspire communities to continue to welcome new arrivals in the weeks, months and years to come.

As part of Refugee Week Kazzum will be delivering creative writing workshops to schools across London. The workshops will engage students in discussion and educate them about the experiences of young asylum seekers and refugees, highlighting the positives, building empathy and challenging negative stereotypes.

In support of Refugee Week students will create ‘Welcome’ postcards that will be displayed in the Oxford House Gallery and shared online.

Postcards will be distributed to the Refugee Community groups.
