Roman road captured in time

Photo Friends from Four Corners have been working together for several years photographing different aspects of their experience of living in the area for most of their lives , one of the members had taken photographs of the area in the 1960s using black and white film. This exhibition explores Roman Road formerly Green Street from 1940s to the present.

Bringing together the groups present day photographs of the shops and owners with their own older photographs and those found at the Tower Hamlets Archives.

Also showing are photographs taken for Tower Hamlets Local History and Archives comparing Noel Gibson’s East End 1960’s paintings with their present day.
