Job Title: Commercial Manager (Full time)
Reporting To: Chief Executive
Salary: £34,000 per annum
Hours: 35 hours per week
Staff Responsibilities: Café / Events / Cleaning Team
After a successful £3 million fundraising campaign, Oxford House is reopening with a new café, a gallery, a theatre and a restored 19th Century chapel. Established in 1884 as the first ‘settlement house’ to promote education and alleviate the impact of poverty in the East End, Oxford House has always had the local community at its heart and will be home to 30 small businesses and charities. Our refurbished building will re-open in June with an exciting programme of arts and heritage activities.
About the Role
The Commercial Manager is a new post responsible for maximising the income from these commercial and social opportunities. You will ensure that they meet agreed financial contributions to the charity through our venue hire and cafe/ bar operation. You will also be responsible for the operational running of the venue.
Oxford House is run by a small and dedicated team and this is a very much a hands-on role, expected to drive sales and contribute to operational delivery whilst also setting strategy and being accountable for long-term growth. You will have a proven track record in events and operational management and launching/developing food and drinks offer.
