Grand Union Orchestra: 90th Anniversary of the Battle of Cable Street brings together vibrant global voices and world musicians from Tower Hamlets to mark a key moment of collective action in the East End.

Through live music, the event remembers the Battle of Cable Street and celebrates the diverse stories, cultures and voices that continue to shape East London. Bringing together musicians and communities from across Tower Hamlets, the performance reflects on the continuing relevance of Cable Street and the importance of collective action today.

Marking the 90th anniversary of the Battle of Cable Street, the event offers an opportunity to connect the history of the East End with its vibrant cultural life in the present day.
