What was life like for ordinary people in East London during the Victorian period?

What role has East London played in the women’s history ?

How have different communities in East London campaigned for equality?

We will be exploring these questions in our History House Schools Workshop. These interactive half-day sessions are specifically designed for secondary schools and are focused on East London’s diverse history. As part of this visit your pupils will:

1: Take part in a special guided tour of our listed Victorian building including visiting our Victorian Chapel and rooftop (weather permitting).

2. Visit our new History House exhibition which explores social change in East London.

3. Pupils will work together to build a giant East End Women’s History Timeline using clues.

This workshop is suitable for KS3 and KS4 pupils and their teachers. Session lasts approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes.

Sessions can be booked for the morning of afternoon.
