Who's in the Oxford House: Young and Talented

Who’s in the Oxford House? Young and Talented

Who are you and what do you do?

Young and Talented is a Theatre school based in East London. We serve local children and young people ages 6 – 16 with our Saturday Triple Talent programme. As well as our Rep Company aimed at 14 – 20 years old. And our Originate programme for 18 – 25 years old.

As a social enterprise, Young and Talented has been nurturing and developing young people for stage and screen since 2004. We enrich the quality of our work and the opportunities we offer our young people through our association with professional theatre company – Pilot Theatre an award-winning Arts Council National Portfolio Organisation.

How many people are in your team?

We mainly work with freelance artists. We have a team of 8 people currently.

What do you use Oxford House for? Which spaces do you use?

We engage local young people to attend our services. Our young people mainly come from Tower Hamlets with a small amount coming from neighbouring  boroughs.

What is it that you like about being in Oxford House?

Over the past 18 years we had an amazing relationship with Oxford House. We love that Oxford House caters to the local community. All projects that they have are in line with local matters, which makes it a place to feel like home. Their new brand refurbishment makes it more accessible and give the opportunity for more people to come in and enjoy what it has to offer.

How do you or hope to work with the local community?

We engage local young people to attend our services. Our young people mainly come from Tower Hamlets with a small amount coming from neighbouring  boroughs.
