Bobbin ‘n’ Weavin: A Mending Workshop invites participants to explore heritage, identity and material culture through the creative practices of mending, patching and sewing. 

Led by Martin King, the workshop offers participants the opportunity to bring their own garments to be repaired, altered or adorned with cultural symbols. Through hands-on making, participants will explore how clothing can carry stories of heritage, identity and belonging. 

The workshop reflects on our material connections to different cultures and communities, using mending as a way to reclaim, preserve and celebrate our varying heritage. Whether repairing a much-loved garment or transforming it with new cultural meaning, the session creates a space to connect creativity with personal and collective identity.
