Rhymes Live! Music for Under 5s

14 July, 10:30 + 12:30,  £8 per ticket, Under 5s free

A brilliant new music show for children under 5 and their adults! Explore sound and imagination with live voice, trombone, flute and percussion performances.

 

Zoo Nation Children’s Hip-Hop Dance Workshop 12noon – 1pm

Zoo Nation Children’s Hip-Hop Dance Workshop 2pm – 3pm 

26 July 12:00 – 13:00 & 14:00 – 15:00 £4 per child

Get moving and grooving in the children’s hip hop dance, workshop led by award winning- dance company ZooNation. The session is designed for children aged
7-14 and led by a professional dance tutor. Beginners are welcome and encouraged!

 

Rooftop Drawing with the Royal Drawing School: Family and Children’s Workshop

28 July, 11:30 – 14:00, £5 adult /£3 children
We’re hosting an interactive drawing workshop on our amazing roof terrace with 360-degree views of East London. The session will be led by an expert tutor the Royal Drawing School and has been designed for children aged 8-16.

 

Friday Music: July Jazz Jam

It must be the end of the month! The OH house Jazz Band is back in full swing. Featuring Harry Toulson (sax), Rory Hudson (bass) William Hobson (keys) and Laurence Di Mauro (drums) playing classics and new discoveries.

 

 

Children’s Sewing Workshop

Join our sewing workshop led by brilliant crafter Ruhela Begum. This workshop is suitable for children aged 7-13 and includes all materials. You can make your own unique embroidered bookmark, cardholder or even scrunchie!

 

This is Me: Photography Studio with Young V&A

8 August, 13:00 – 16:00, Free
Showcase your creativity by taking part in a special pop up photography event. East London photographer Rehan Jamil and the Young V&A museum team will capture portraits as a memento of the diverse ways young people are creative. For ages: 5-14

 

Clay Play Workshop, 12noon – 1pm 

Clay Play Workshop, 2 – 3pm

Join a fun and interactive clay workshop for children aged 5-11. We’ll be making weird and wonderful creatures using air dry clay. Materials will be provided.

 

Film Screening: UP (Rated U)

Up is an award winning-Pixar animation about the unlikely adventures of Carl, a retired balloon salesman and Russell, an excitable young explorer. A modern family classic for all ages screened in our Victorian chapel.

Film Screening: Summer of Soul (Rated 12A)

19 August, 14:00 – 16:30, £1 per ticket
A special screening in our chapel of award winning music documentary Summer of Soul. The film explores The Harlem Cultural Festival of 1969, a celebration of Black culture and features rediscovered performances from Stevie Wonder, Nina Simone, Gladys Knight and more.
